It’s graduation season again. This 1;12 scale tassel is so tiny and adorable, every graduate you know needs one in their congratulations card. The project takes very few tools and materials and is easy to create in just minutes!
Supplies and tools you need:
- embroidery floss
- a small metallic bead, the type used as a jewelry spacer
- super glue
- toothpick
- scissors
- embroidery needle small enough to pass through your bead
Cut a length of floss about 4 inches long.
Separate one strand from the floss and set the strand aside.
Thread the needle with the remaining strands of embroidery floss.
Pass the needle through the bead.
Pass the needle through the bead again.
Leave a good sized loop of floss on one side of the bead.
Thread the needle with the single strand of floss.
Pull the single strand of floss through the loop of floss you made earlier.
Tie a knot in the single strand at the top of the loop.
Tie another knot in the same place as the last knot.
Use a toothpick to apply a tiny drop of superglue to the bottom of the knot inside the loop of floss.
Slide the bead up.
Trim the tassel to 3/4 inch long, or as long or short as you desire.
